If you're looking for yet another way to personalize your 1981-LHD or 1981-RHD shifters for the 11th Gen Civic and 5th Gen Integra, our spring upgrades are a great way to do it. This spring has approximately 15% more centering preload than the spring our 1981 shifters are equipped with from the factory. If you find the centering force on your 1981 shifter to be a little softer than you'd like, this spring upgrade may be a good option for you. Like the spring it replaces, this version is zinc coated for corrosion resistance and features padded spring sleeves for quiet, reliable operation.

If you're instead looking for a spring that provides a lower preload and gentler centering than what the shifter came equipped with, consider instead opting for SKU 1981-S01 which has a 15% lower preload than the spring equipped to 1981 shifters.

What to Expect:
- Expect a modest but noticeable increase in centering force, around 15% more than the spring your 1981 shifter came equipped with. Your shifter will center more aggressively after installing this spring and a small amount of additional force will be required to reach left/right for gears 1,2,5,6, and R.
