Description

The Honda Civic Type R is a truly great car. Some would argue the finest hot hatchback on the market- and despite often being pitched against more powerful and costly opposition, it consistently punches above its weight.

So, how does one improve on that I hear you say...well, fast front-heavy FWD vehicles all suffer the same problems - understeer due to front-end weight transfer, and lift during acceleration.

Manufacturers reduce this with limited-slip diffs but excessive deflection in worn rubber suspension bushings, specifically the front wishbone bushings as they age, can worsen this and promote unwanted reactions such as imprecise steering, braking instability, and reduced traction including wheel-hop. These problems will no doubt take the sharp edge off what is usually a razor-sharp track weapon.
