This is a very common problem due to someone pulling up on the lever instead of straight out and thus breaking the plastic handle.

Instead of going to all of the trouble of replacing the entire cable you can simply replace only the end with this.

This is a replacement handle that is made of much stronger billet aluminum and wont re-break like a replacement cable.

To install: Simply trim off the remaining plastic from the end of the cable with a regular pair of side cutters or pliers, slide this handle on and with the included allen key and set screws, secure it into place.

It really is that simple.

No more broken hood release handle and no fear of it breaking again in the future like a replacement cable.

OEM look with the same hood release symbol printed on.
