HKS RB26 V-CAM System Step Pro (Without Valcon Controller) - Nissan Skyline GT-R 89-02

Description

HKS VALCON variable valve timing controller is not included.

The favored HKS V-CAM system for RB26 without VALCON type is newly launched.

Features
V CAM system for higher levels of tuning compared to Step 1 and Step 2.

Specially designed cam has duration of 264 degrees, valve lift 10mm. Reviewing cam material, profile and valve timing change, Step Pro is suited to higher power outputs at high rpm.

Billet camshaft is used to enhance strength even when used with upgraded Valve Springs at high RPM (recommended limit 8800rpm). Added strength facilitates a hollow cam design has allowing Step Pro to be 560g lighter than Step 1 and Step 2.

Valve timing has 50 degrees adjustment from 80-130 degrees

Exhaust cam can be selected to suit vehicle specifications.

Step 2 Valve Springs are required.

Recess modification of the cylinder head is required.

Kit includes:
- Special V-CAM shaft
- Variable valve timing unit (Vane type controller for high torque. Pulley with nickel plating.)
- Intake side special cylinder head cover. (HKS original casting product. No paint. Includes special logo plate.)
- V-CAM sensor harness. (F-CON V Pro 3.4 connected terminal)
- Oil control valve (Electromagnetic)
- Cam angle sensor (Highly accurate type)
- Oil lines (between the hydraulic take-out section of the engine side and the cylinder head cover.)
- Other short parts

Remarks:
Billet hollow cam. Separate purchase of the HKS forged piston kit is necessary. A polished cylinder surface or using a thin gasket may cause insufficient clearance between the valve and the piston.

Variable Valve Timing Control Unit: F-CON V Pro ver. 3.4 or VALCON type RB26
CAM Shaft (EX): STEP 2 272 degree or above
Valve Spring: Needs HKS enhanced parts
Allowable rotating speed: 8800rpm
Cylinder Head Modification: Yes, a process to secure the clearance of the cam lobe is needed.
Piston: HKS Piston (To secure the clearance between the valve and the piston)
Oil Pump: HKS enhanced parts recommended
Engine Oil: HKS SUPER TURBO RACING 15W50 or HKS Racing Pro 10W50 recommended
Timing Belt: Inspect the wear or tension each drive 10,000 km. Adjust them if necessary.
Other: The valve timing may not reach the target value due to insufficient hydraulic pressure when the viscosity is low. It cannot have an advanced angle when the water temperature of 60 degrees or lower.
