Cooling, Heat Capacity and Optimized Directional Airflow Vane Structure are the base principles of a High Performance Braking system. APM Racing has applied these principles and has added their own formula to improve this technology.
There are many benefits utilizing a 2-piece brake disc system. The initial aim is to reduce overall un-sprung weight while dissipating heat generated between the brake pads and the brake discs. While the reduction of weight is an incredible feature, APM Racing believes by controlling the heat expansion between the combined materials that make a 2-piece brake system, the issues of heat transfer, reduction of rotational mass and efficient cooling is the proper solution to brake-fade and improved reliability of your braking needs.APM Racing’s 2-Piece Directional Vented Brake Disc System consists of the following components:
